1) Gravity Probe-B
satellite was launched April 21
The Delta 2 carrying NASA's
Gravity Probe-B satellite was launched Wednesday, April 21 from
Vandenburg AFB, California. This program is using GPS to
help test Einstein's Theory of Relativity. Dr. Brad
Parkinson, known to many of our readers, has been
instrumental in developing this phase of the project at Stanford

2) ISCe Conference
June 1-3, 2004, Long Beach may be of value

Topics will center on business
aspects of communication satellite, and will include how GPS
fits into the world of communications. ISCe stands for
International Satellite & Communications Conference and
Expo. GPS is one string of the conference, and will focus
on business aspects of GPS relative to the communications

at the Hyatt Long Beach as part of the ISCe Conference &

4) FREE: Canadian GPS
Associates' book released
The Canadian GPS Associates,
publisher of the widely read book "Guide to GPS
Positioning" have released this book for free viewing on
the web. This book was edited by David Wells and was
published by the group in 1986. While the book was never
updated, it is still a valuable text on surveying with GPS.
